Fulshear Fence Builder

Fence Installation Built for Fort Bend Clay and Storms

Straight lines, solid posts and a gate that still latches next year.

Ask around Fulshear and plenty of neighbors have a fence story. Our gumbo clay swells and shrinks with every wet spell and dry spell, and that slowly works posts loose. Then a storm like Hurricane Beryl comes through and whole sections lean or fall flat. A good fence starts with posts set deep in concrete, lined up straight before a single picket goes on.

We build new wood privacy fences, replace storm-damaged sections, rebuild sagging gates and stain fences so they hold their color in the Texas sun. HOA neighborhoods like Cross Creek Ranch and Fulshear Lakes often set rules for height and stain, so we build to your guidelines. Emeil gives you a clear written estimate, and plenty of backyard runs are finished in a single day.

Fence Problems We Fix Around Fulshear

Some fences need a few new posts. Some need starting over. We'll tell you which.

  1. Fence Leaning After a Storm

Gulf storms and soaked ground push fences over. Resetting posts in concrete usually straightens them out.

  2. Posts Rotted at the Ground

Wet clay holds moisture against wood posts until they snap. New posts in concrete fix that.

  3. Gate That Sags or Won't Latch

Shifting soil and heavy gates drag on hinges. We rebuild, brace and rehang it so it swings true.

  4. Loose, Broken or Missing Pickets

Wind and age pop boards loose. We replace pickets and match them as close as the wood allows.

  5. Gray, Dried-Out Fence Boards

Texas sun bleaches bare wood. Cleaning and staining brings color back and helps the boards last.

Building Your New Fence

How We Install a Fence, Start to Finish

Four clear steps, from measuring your yard to swinging the new gate.

  1. Measure the Fence Line

Emeil walks the property line with you, talks through HOA rules and writes a clear estimate.

  2. Pick Wood, Height and Gate Style

Choose board style, fence height, gate size and stain color that fit your yard and HOA.

  3. Set Posts in Concrete

The old fence comes down, posts go in deep with concrete, then rails and pickets go up straight.

  4. Gate Check and Fence Walkthrough

We swing every gate, check the latches, walk the line with you, and clean up.

Fort Bend Fence Conditions

What It Takes for a Fence to Last in Fort Bend County

Soil, storms, sun and HOAs all shape how we build fences around here.

Gumbo Clay and Fence Posts

Fort Bend clay swells and shrinks with rain and drought, so posts need concrete and depth.

Hurricane Beryl Fence Damage

Beryl leaned and flattened fences across the county in 2024. Strong posts are the first defense.

Texas Sun on Bare Fence Boards

Unstained pine and cedar gray fast here. Stain keeps the color and slows cracking and splitting.

HOA Fence Rules in Fulshear

Cross Creek Ranch, Fulshear Lakes and Firethorne often set fence height, style and stain color.

Acreage Lots Near Simonton

Bigger rural lots along FM 1093 call for longer runs and wider gates for trailers and mowers.

Wet Ground and Fence Post Rot

Low spots hold rainwater against posts. Concrete footings and good drainage help them last longer.

Fence Installation Questions

Fence Installation and Repair FAQs

Why does my fence keep leaning after heavy rain?

Fort Bend's gumbo clay swells when it's wet and shrinks when it dries, and that push and pull works fence posts loose. Add Gulf storm winds and soaked ground, and posts tip. We set new posts in concrete, deep enough to hold, so the fence stays straight through wet and dry seasons.

Can you fix a fence that Hurricane Beryl or another storm knocked over?

Yes. Beryl in July 2024 left a lot of Fort Bend fences leaning or flat. Sometimes only a few broken posts need resetting in concrete; other times the whole run is better replaced. We'll look at it with you and tell you honestly which makes more sense.

Does my HOA have to approve a new fence before installation?

In most master-planned neighborhoods, yes. Cross Creek Ranch, Fulshear Lakes, Cinco Ranch, Sienna and Firethorne all have HOAs that often set fence height, style and stain color. Check your guidelines or send in a request before we start, and we'll build to the rules they give you.

How long does it take to install a new wood privacy fence?

A typical backyard privacy fence can often go up in a day, depending on length, gates and how hard the old fence is to tear out. Posts set in concrete need time to firm up, and we'll tell you when the dog can go back outside. You'll get the timeline with your estimate.

Should I stain a new wood fence, and how soon after it goes up?

Staining is worth it here. Texas sun turns bare pine and cedar gray, and humidity invites mildew and rot. New pine usually needs a few weeks to dry out before it takes stain well. We can come back to stain it, and we can clean and restain older fences too.
