Call (832) 727-8276Estimates and Pricing With Saint George
How we price a job and what goes into your written estimate.
What's included in your written estimate?
Your estimate spells out the work we'll do, the materials we plan to use, and the total price. If something isn't included — like moving heavy furniture or extra repairs we might find — we say so up front. That way you know exactly what you're agreeing to before we begin.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can talk through your project and give you a rough idea of what affects the cost, but a real number needs a look in person. Wall condition, fence length, wood type, and access all change the price. The visit is free, and the written estimate follows soon after.
Will the price change once work starts?
The written estimate is the price we plan to hold. If we open a wall or pull a fence board and find hidden damage like wood rot, we stop, show you, and talk it through. Nothing extra gets added to the job without your okay first.
Scheduling and Hours for Fulshear Jobs
When we work, how booking goes, and what to expect day to day.
What are your business hours?
We work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We're closed on Sundays. Saturday estimates are a good fit for homeowners who work during the week, so just ask when you call.
How far out are you booking projects?
It depends on the season and the size of the job. Spring and fall fill up fastest for outside painting, fences, and decks, while smaller jobs can often fit in sooner. When we hand you your estimate, we'll also give you an honest idea of when we can start.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not for the whole job. We like to walk through the plan with you on the first day and do a final walkthrough together at the end. Many outdoor projects, like fences or pressure washing, can be done while you're at work as long as we can reach the yard.
Our Fort Bend Service Area
Where we go and how far we travel from Fulshear.
Is Fulshear really your home base?
Yes. Saint George Remodel is based in Fulshear, so homes in Cross Creek Ranch, Fulshear Lakes, and along FM 1093 and FM 359 are right in our backyard. From here we head out across Fort Bend County to Katy, Sugar Land, Richmond, Sienna, and beyond.
Do you ever take jobs outside Fort Bend County?
Most of our work is in Fort Bend County, but we also take some projects in nearby areas just past the county line, depending on the job and the schedule. Call with your address and what you need, and we'll tell you honestly whether we can fit it in.
Do you work on rural properties and acreage?
Yes. We're glad to work on bigger lots around Simonton, Needville, Weston Lakes, and Beasley — long fence lines, outdoor living spaces, and homes that need fresh paint. Larger properties just take a little more planning, so Emeil will walk the property with you during the free estimate.
Painting Questions From Fort Bend Homeowners
Inside walls, outside trim, colors, and prep work.
Do you paint both inside and outside the house?
We do both. Inside, that means walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, and tall two-story rooms. Outside, it's siding, trim, fascia, front doors, and garage doors. Many customers start with one and come back for the other once they see how clean and careful the work is.
Can you help me pick paint colors?
Yes. Emeil can suggest colors that work with your floors, cabinets, brick, and lighting, and we're happy to put up samples so you can see them on your own walls first. If your neighborhood has an HOA, we'll keep its approved color list in mind too.
How do you protect furniture and floors while painting?
We cover floors with drop cloths, wrap counters, cabinets, and furniture in plastic sheeting, and tape off anything that shouldn't get paint. Once the job is done, we pull it all up and clean the area. Customers often mention how tidy we leave the house.
Fences, Decks, and Patio Covers in Fulshear
General questions about backyard and outdoor projects.
How do I know if my outdoor project needs a repair or a full rebuild?
Often you don't need a full rebuild. Loose boards, a few leaning posts, or a sagging gate can usually be fixed. When rot or storm damage runs through most of a fence or deck, rebuilding makes more sense. Emeil will tell you honestly which way he'd go and why.
What time of year is best for outdoor projects?
Fall and spring are the most comfortable, but we build and repair fences, decks, and patio covers most of the year. Summer heat and afternoon storms can shift the schedule a little. Stain and paint need dry weather, so we plan those days around the forecast.
Can you combine a deck, patio cover, and fence into one project?
Yes, and it often works out better that way. Planning your outdoor living space all at once means the stain colors match, the layout makes sense, and you deal with one crew instead of three. Emeil enjoys helping homeowners come up with fresh ideas for their backyard.
Kitchen Update Questions for Fulshear Homes
Cabinets, counters, and how a kitchen project goes.
How long does a kitchen update take?
It depends on what you're changing. Painting cabinets or adding a backsplash is a much shorter project than new countertops plus a new layout. Your written estimate comes with a realistic timeline, and Emeil will tell you ahead of time which days the kitchen will be hard to use.
Can we keep living at home during a kitchen remodel?
Most families do. We seal off the work area with plastic, keep dust down, and clean up at the end of each day. There may be a few days without a working sink or stove, so we'll help you plan around those before the project starts.
Can you make my new kitchen match the rest of the house?
Yes. We look at your floors, trim, wall colors, and the style of the home before suggesting cabinet colors, counters, or backsplash. The goal is a kitchen that feels like it belongs there, not one that sticks out from the living room right next to it.
Handyman and Home-Seller Help in Fort Bend
Small repairs, punch lists, and getting a house ready to sell.
Is any job too small for Saint George Remodel?
Not usually. Plenty of our work isn't a remodel at all — we patch drywall, replace trim and baseboards, hang ceiling fans, fix wood rot, repair gates, and handle other small jobs. Putting several small items together on one list is the easiest way to get them all done at once.
Do you help homeowners who are getting ready to sell?
Yes. We help sellers with the repair list — drywall patches, touch-up paint, trim, loose fixtures, and fresh paint where buyers will notice it. One customer had us paint her new home inside while we worked through the to-do list on the house she was selling.
Can you work from my home inspection report?
Yes. Send us the inspection report or the buyer's repair request, and we'll go through it with you. We'll point out which items fit our work, like wood rot, trim, drywall, and paint, and give you a written estimate for those items so you can plan.
Working With Fulshear-Area HOAs
Color rules and approvals in master-planned communities.
Do you work in HOA neighborhoods?
All the time. Much of Fort Bend is master-planned, from Cross Creek Ranch and Fulshear Lakes to Cinco Ranch, Sienna, and Pecan Grove. We're used to HOA rules on paint colors, fence styles, and work hours, and we plan each job around them from the start.
What do I need to send my HOA before work starts?
Most HOAs want the paint colors, fence style, or project details before work begins. We'll give you the color names, materials, and details from your written estimate so you can fill out the request. Once you have approval in hand, we put your project on the schedule.
What if my HOA only allows certain colors?
That's common in Fort Bend's master-planned communities. Bring us your HOA's approved color list and we'll help you choose from it, then use those exact colors on the job. If you're not sure what's allowed, check with your HOA before we order paint or stain.
